BeePlus Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how BeePlus ("BeePlus", "we", "us", or "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects personal data when you:
  • use BeePlus apps, websites, and other digital services (the "BeePlus Platform");
  • request or receive delivery and logistics services ("Delivery Services"); or
  • otherwise interact with us (for example, by contacting our support team).

It also explains your rights and how you can exercise them.

This Privacy Policy is designed to comply with applicable data protection laws in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, including the Personal Data Protection Law (PDPL) and its implementing regulations, where they apply.

If you do not agree with this Privacy Policy, please do not use the BeePlus Platform.

This Privacy Policy applies to:

  • Senders / customers who create orders or request Delivery Services via the BeePlus Platform;
  • Order recipients whose goods are delivered using BeePlus, even if they do not have a BeePlus account;
  • Guest users who use BeePlus without a full registration, if such use is available;
  • Business customers and their authorized users who use BeePlus for business deliveries.

A separate privacy notice or section may apply to Couriers / drivers who provide Delivery Services via BeePlus.

2. Types of personal data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

2.1 Data you provide to us

Account and profile data

  • Name, surname
  • Mobile phone number
  • Email address
  • Profile photo (if you choose to upload it)
  • Preferred language

Order and delivery data

  • Pickup and drop-off addresses
  • Names and contact details of senders and recipients
  • Company name, VAT or tax number (for business customers)
  • Description of items (where provided), notes for the courier (e.g. "fragile", "gate code")

Payment data

  • Masked card information (e.g. last 4 digits, card type)
  • Billing address (if required for payments)
  • Payment method details and transaction-related information

Note: card data is typically processed by our payment providers, not stored in full by BeePlus.

Support and communication data

  • Content of messages you send to BeePlus (email, in-app chat, social media)
  • Call recordings where permitted by law and where we inform you
  • Ratings, complaints, and feedback
2.2 Data we collect automatically when you use BeePlus

Location data (if you allow it)

Approximate or precise location of your device, when the app is running in the foreground or background, to:

  • suggest pickup addresses
  • estimate arrival times
  • show courier location during an active delivery

You can control location permissions in your device settings, but some features may not work properly without location data.

Device and technical data

  • Device type, model, operating system, app version
  • Unique device identifiers
  • IP address and approximate location derived from IP
  • Browser type and settings

Usage data

  • Dates and times of app use
  • App features you use and screens you view
  • Clicks, scrolls, and interaction events (for analytics and to improve UX)

Log data

  • App crashes and error logs
  • Basic diagnostic information
2.3 Data we receive from third parties

Business customers / account owners

  • If your company uses BeePlus, we may receive your contact details and role from them.

Order senders and recipients

  • If you are an order recipient, your phone number, name, and address may be provided by the sender.

Payment and financial service providers

  • Limited information about payment status, confirmation, and chargebacks.

Fraud and risk partners (if used)

  • Risk scores or signals to help detect fraud and abuse.

Service providers and vendors

  • Aggregated or analytical data (for example, usage statistics, attribution).

We may combine information we receive from different sources where permitted by law.

3. How we use personal data

We process your personal data for the following purposes:

3.1 Providing the BeePlus Platform and Delivery Services
  • Creating and managing your BeePlus account
  • Processing orders and bookings
  • Matching orders with Couriers
  • Enabling communication between senders, recipients, couriers, and BeePlus (calls, in-app chat, SMS)
  • Providing real-time delivery status and route tracking
  • Handling payments, refunds, and credits
3.2 Safety, security, and fraud prevention
  • Verifying identity where necessary
  • Preventing, detecting, and investigating fraud, misuse, or violations of our Terms of Use
  • Monitoring for suspicious or abusive activity on the BeePlus Platform
  • Ensuring the safety of customers, recipients, couriers, and the public
3.3 Customer support and service quality
  • Responding to your questions, requests, and complaints
  • Investigating incidents and resolving disputes
  • Measuring service quality (delivery times, reliability, satisfaction)
  • Recording support calls (where permitted) for training and quality control
3.4 Improving and developing our services
  • Analyzing how users interact with the BeePlus Platform
  • Testing and improving features, UI, and performance
  • Developing new services, products, and partnerships
  • Aggregating and anonymizing data for analytics and business intelligence
3.5 Marketing and communications
  • Sending service-related messages (order confirmations, delivery updates, security alerts)
  • Sending marketing messages (promotions, offers, newsletters) where permitted by law and, where required, with your consent
  • Showing you targeted or personalized offers in the app or via other channels, where permitted

Under Saudi PDPL, using contact data (such as email or phone number) for direct marketing generally requires consent or a clear opt-out mechanism.

You can opt out of marketing communications at any time (see Section 9).

3.6 Legal and compliance purposes
  • Complying with legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting requirements)
  • Responding to lawful requests from public authorities
  • Enforcing our Terms of Use and other policies
  • Protecting our rights, property, and interests, and those of our users and third parties
4. Legal bases and consent (Saudi PDPL and other laws)

Depending on your location and the applicable law, we process your personal data on one or more of the following legal bases:

Your consent – for example, for:

  • marketing communications;
  • certain location tracking and cookies/analytics;

Performance of a contract – for example, to:

  • create and manage your account;
  • fulfill your orders and manage payments;

Compliance with legal obligations – for example, to:

  • keep accounting records;
  • respond to lawful requests from regulators or authorities;

Legitimate interests (where recognized by applicable law) – for example, to:

  • improve our services;
  • prevent fraud;
  • protect our users and our business.

Under the Saudi PDPL, consent is a primary legal basis for processing personal data, but the law also allows processing without consent in specific situations (e.g., to perform a contract, comply with law, or protect vital interests).

Where we rely on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time (see Section 9). This will not affect the lawfulness of processing based on consent before its withdrawal.

5. Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies, SDKs, and similar technologies in our apps and on our websites to:

  • remember your preferences and settings;
  • keep you logged in;
  • analyze how you use the BeePlus Platform;
  • improve performance and security;
  • (where permitted) personalize content and marketing.

When you first use our website or app, we may show you a cookie or tracking notice that explains how we use these technologies and how you can manage your preferences.

You can control cookies through your browser settings and your device's privacy settings. If you disable certain cookies, some parts of the BeePlus Platform may not function properly.

6. Sharing personal data

We do not sell your personal data. We only share personal data in the ways described below and where allowed by law.

6.1 Sharing between users

Senders and recipients

  • We may share names, pickup/drop-off locations, and contact information necessary to complete the delivery.

Senders and couriers

  • We share relevant contact and order details with couriers so they can pick up and deliver items.

Recipients and couriers

  • We share recipient contact details and address so couriers can complete the delivery.

In some cases, phone numbers may be masked or proxied where technically feasible.

6.2 Service providers and business partners

We share personal data with service providers who help us operate the BeePlus Platform, including:

  • cloud hosting and data storage providers;
  • payment processors and financial institutions;
  • SMS, email, and push notification providers;
  • identity verification and fraud-prevention providers;
  • analytics and performance monitoring tools;
  • customer support tools and call centers.

These service providers are contractually required to process personal data only on our instructions and to apply appropriate security measures, as required by PDPL and other laws.

6.3 Business customers

If you use BeePlus through a business account (for example, your employer):

  • we may share information about your deliveries and usage with the business customer that manages the account, according to the agreement with them;
  • your employer may have its own policies governing how they process this data.
6.4 Authorities and legal requests

We may disclose personal data to law enforcement agencies, regulators, courts, or other public authorities if we believe it is necessary to:

  • comply with a legal obligation;
  • respond to a lawful request;
  • protect the rights, property, or safety of BeePlus, our users, or others.
6.5 Corporate transactions

In the event of a merger, acquisition, restructuring, sale of assets, or similar transaction, personal data may be transferred as part of the transaction, subject to confidentiality and applicable law.

7. International data transfers

Some of our service providers and partners may be located outside the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. This means your personal data may be transferred to and processed in other countries.

Where such transfers occur, we will:

  • comply with the conditions and safeguards required under the Saudi PDPL and other applicable laws;
  • ensure the receiving country or entity provides an adequate level of protection, or implement additional safeguards (for example, contractual clauses);
  • limit transfers to the minimum data necessary for the relevant purpose.

We will not transfer your personal data outside Saudi Arabia where such transfer would violate applicable law.

8. Data retention and deletion

We keep your personal data only for as long as necessary to:

  • provide the BeePlus Platform and Delivery Services;
  • comply with our legal obligations (for example, tax and accounting retention periods);
  • resolve disputes and enforce our agreements;
  • maintain business records in line with legal and regulatory requirements.

After the applicable retention period:

  • we will delete or anonymize your personal data so that you can no longer be identified; or
  • if deletion is not possible (for example, due to backups or technical limitations), we will securely store the data and isolate it from further processing until deletion is possible.

You can request deletion of certain data (see Section 9). We may be required to keep some personal data even after a deletion request, if the law requires it or if we have legitimate reasons (e.g. ongoing dispute or fraud investigation).

9. Your rights and choices

Subject to applicable law (including PDPL), you may have the following rights regarding your personal data:

Right to be informed

  • to receive clear information about how we collect and use your personal data (this Privacy Policy and any in-app notices).

Right of access

  • to request confirmation whether we process your personal data and receive a copy of it.

Right to rectification

  • to request that we correct or update inaccurate or incomplete personal data.

Right to deletion (erasure)

  • to request that we delete your personal data when it is no longer necessary for the purposes for which it was collected or when processing is unlawful, subject to legal exceptions.

Right to withdraw consent

  • where processing is based on your consent (for example, marketing), you can withdraw consent at any time.

Right to object or restrict processing (where applicable)

  • to object to certain types of processing, or request that we restrict processing in certain cases.

Right to data portability (if recognized by applicable law)

  • to receive certain personal data in a structured, commonly used, machine-readable format and transmit it to another service, where technically feasible.

Right to complain

  • to lodge a complaint with the competent data protection authority in Saudi Arabia (for example, SDAIA / the relevant regulator under PDPL) if you believe your rights have been violated.
How to exercise your rights

You can exercise your rights by:

  • using in-app settings (where available) to access, update, or delete certain data;
  • contacting us at: support@beeplus.it.com;
  • providing sufficient information to verify your identity (we may ask you to confirm your email or phone, or provide additional information).

We will respond to your request within the time limits required by applicable law.

Your marketing choices

You can manage marketing communications by:

  • using the unsubscribe link in emails;
  • changing your preferences in the BeePlus app;
  • contacting us at support@beeplus.it.com.

Even if you opt out of marketing, we may still send you service or transactional messages, such as order confirmations, security alerts, and legal notices.

10. Security

We take appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your personal data against:

  • accidental or unlawful destruction;
  • loss, alteration, or unauthorized disclosure;
  • unauthorized access or use.

These measures may include:

  • encryption in transit and at rest (where appropriate);
  • access controls and logging;
  • secure development practices;
  • staff training and confidentiality obligations;
  • incident response and breach management processes.

However, no system is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security of your data. If we become aware of a personal data breach that may pose a high risk to your rights, we will notify you and/or the relevant authority as required by law.

11. Children's privacy

The BeePlus Platform is not intended for children under 18 and we do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.

If you believe that a child under 18 has provided us with personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us at support@beeplus.it.com, and we will take steps to delete such data where required by law.

12. Changes to this Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, for example when we:

  • introduce new products, features, or partnerships;
  • change our data practices;
  • need to comply with changes in law or regulatory guidance.

When we make changes, we will:

  • update the "Last updated" date at the top of this Privacy Policy; and
  • where required by law, notify you through the BeePlus app, website, email, or SMS.

If you continue to use the BeePlus Platform after the updated Privacy Policy takes effect, you are deemed to have accepted the changes.
